Wow time flies

What is this weekend? The best weekend of the year!
 Its our anniversary!
Really its on Sunday but we are starting Friday. Thanks to one of our friends we get to start celebrating Friday with a night at the Peabody. So as soon Otto is done with his test (ummmm this sounds alot like the day we got married) we will head downtown to check in and go play downtown, usually on Friday night at the Peabody they have some type of band, so we will just enjoy what is going on in the hotel. Then Saturday morning we will take a stroll down town look at some of the art galleries and grab a bite to eat, enjoy the sunshine. Then we head back to the hotel to get ready for the Youth Dance that is at the Peabody. So we will dance the night away. Can you tell I am little excited for our little get away!
Otto! I love you!
thanks for making me so happy!

L.I.F.E.

I just have to say I LOVE my life. I have an amazing, wonderful, supportive, caring, honest, loving, husband who loves me. I love that I don't have to tell people that I am in love, I don't have to prove that our life is amazing. People can tell just by being around us. I love us, I love who we are, I love that we can be perfectly happy just sitting and talking with the t.v. off for hours. I love our drives, when we talk about our dreams and our future. I have always been I happy person, no not perfect, but I have learned that you have to love yourself, but I was lucky enough to learn that at an early age, because I have AMAZING parents who taught me by love, and that the true me is how I treat others. I am grateful for a mom that was home every day as I walked in the door from school. That she took the time to make my lunch everyday. I cherished the notes that she wrote and put in my lunch and how she makes me feel like the most important person in the world. I love that my birthdays were always made extra special, not by things but by love and attention. I am for ever grateful for the sacrifices they made to let me play the level of ball I did. How they were always there to cheer me on. My parents taught me that you respect your spouse. I am grateful for the one time I ever really saw my parents argue that my dad laughed when I was seriously worried. He told me how much he loved mom and that everything was just fine, and it was. I love how my dad taught me to work hard. I am so grateful to be blessed with parents who taught me the gospel and that you have to build your testimony everyday. I love that my mom is my best friend and there are just some days I call her for no reason. I love how my parents are so willing to serve others. Many many many times in my life I saw my parents give to those who needed, and never expected anything back. I look at my life and I know I am loved, there has never been a time where I have questioned if I was loved or needed. I  so appreciate my parents teaching me that sometimes we don't know the whole story about someone, and that what is on the outside isn't what is in the inside.
MY. LIFE. IS. AWESOME.

take two

Can this be true?
   Two post in one day!!!
It is true.
I am excited about the quilting group I am apart of.
I have been looking at blogs all day.
I have found a lot that I like.
Camille Roskelly I like her alot!
It has been a fun evening of looking for a pattern to do my very first quilt.
So wish me luck!!!

New Year already?

2011 REALLY!!!

 Man time is flying by!
Just thought I would share my goals for 2011.

Goal #1
Be more crafty
Learn and do more sewing....
aka make a Quilt.
Which I know, who would of ever thought but
I am in a Quilting group!
Also I am excited about Enrichment on Thursday so
I can learn how to Knit.
Yeah shocking I know. But I see my friends making REALLY cute stuff, I think a lady on my mission tried to teach me (it was either knitting or crocheting) and well that didn't go over to well. But she sure did enjoy laughing at me!

Goal #2
Run a 5K

I know most of my friends are running marathons and not even sure if I even ever want to get to that point but I DO want to get to the point where I run all the 5Ks I can I am planning on running the Susan G Komen , Mud Run and the Jingle Bell run this year. And hoping to Run walk the 4th of July Firecracker Run.

Goal #3
Read more...
which shouldn't be that hard to do...
Open to suggestions...
I am not a Sci-fi person, Might lose some friends over this next comment but I tried reading the First Twilight book and just couldn't get into it. So I guess I know what kind of reader I am not but really not sure what kind of reader I am

Goal #4
Learn how to use my CS4 (photo shop) better.
I am also learning how to digiscrap...
not just for our pictures but
hopefully to do more cool things for the YW.

Well there you have it my goals for this year...
I have broadcast them for the world to know, hopefully to motivate me more to accomplish them!

Should be cleaning....

Its just one of those days... I need to get a million things done but just don't feel like it. I mean I have bathed my niece feed her breakfast and lunch cleaned up after that taken her potty 5 millions times today and have put her down for a nap.... but those things are things that were not on my list to do. Like i need to feed the missionaries tonight, maybe they like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as much as I do... or not. Laundry. enough said! then tidying up the house for the elders so come eat with us. Otto is off at school... I am just listening to the Hockey game. I have really enjoyed the Olympics this year, but when do i not enjoy them... owll i better get off of her before we really do eat PB&J for dinner.......

1.06.2010

Oh NO!

So there is a CHANCE of some sleet tonight... I mean I know we are not gonna get above 28 degrees tomorrow but it is so funny how people freak out around here! Yep all the milk was GONE! The milk man was restocking everything by the time I thought of taking a picture but this is what the whole case looked like when we first saw it... You maybe asking why where we there in the packed store? Oh to witness the craziness and to get some bananas! No for real no milk or bread, just bananas.

A perfect day!

I really have the greatest husband ever! I am so grateful he is my best friend its just a bonus that I get to keep him forever! I loved every minute of my day! He woke me up with breakfast from Panera, which was so very yummy! Then I got a huge surprise that he was off work for the WHOLE DAY! We hung out for a few for a fun lazy morning. Then off we were and not to return until the morning! Otto had planned for us to go to the local Art Museum to go see the Pharaoh display, which I was excited to see. But the luck we have the musuem is closed on Mondays! We just laughed! Who would have thought?! Since we were right down town we decided to be tourist for the day! Oh what a fun day we had! We went to lunch down at the river market took a trolly all over Little Rock and North Little Rock. By the way the trolly was amazingly grorgous! Walked by the Clinton Libary (No we did not do in) Just walked up and down the River Market and It was a perfect day! We went and tried to tour the Heffer Project but were to late for the tour but we looked around and enjoyed the time there! We learned so much, that place is way cool. Then from there we just went to target and had a little get away at a local hotel. It was perfect. But any time I get to spend the day with Otto is the best day ever! Thanks Otto for the laughs and the fun times. You really make everything better! I love you!
MY Birthday Breakfast!
Our lunch, we have had better but it was a fun place!

Us walking and playing downtown at the River Market

Our Trolly is here!

Speechless.

A perfect Day!

Graces Wedding

This is our friends little sister getting married. It was a beatiful night! We are so happy for Grace and Jason. I was enjoying playing with my camera so here are a few highlights from the night....

♥ Grace and Jason ♥

This is PRINCESS MEGAN and I loved looking at the view she was looking at. Now you have to know Megan (Graces niece) she honestly believes that she is a princess. As Grace and Jason were having there first dance Megan started BOLTING out Disney Princess songs and dancing away! Then she screamed at Grace... Grace you really are a princess! It was priceless.

This is Hazel who also loves princesses and was taking away with all the pretty lights and the glitz and glamore of Graces dress and the cake. Well her face says it all!
I loves theses girls and I love Grace and she looked amazing and looked perfectly happy, but it was super fun to watch these little girls. To see the sparkles in there eyes and how Grace let them be apart of her special night.

This made us laugh! As we were on special assignment on behalf of the family we ran to walgreens and this is what we saw in the parking lot! Yes someone rode a golf cart to The Walgreens! Some people are so cool!

Yeppers we love the Toblers and we got to be apart of the family joke! We were the delivers of the special package to the Honeymoon suite! It was perfect!

Book Signing

So I may not be good at keeping up with my blog I still love to read others. There is one blog that I have learned from a bunch of friends called The Pioneer Woman. She is funny and has some really good recipes! Well she went from having just a blog just like this to having her own cook book all with in a pretty short amount of time. She was doing a book tour (back in Oct.) for her new cookbook and of all places she came to Little Rock! So me a 4 other friends showed up and got in line with hundreds! Who knew so many knew about her.... But we were hanging out at the Walmart. ( which I thought was a funny place for a book singing but what do I know) The line was wrapped from the jewelry counter past the towels around the corner past the music all the way into the automotive!!!! (IF you have ever been to a Super Walmart you know how far that is, and if you have been blessed never to step into a walmart then its a long way.) We have made some good meals thanks to the Pioneer Woman! It was a fun night hanging out with friends and catching up!

This and that...

We are alive!
I have been a slacker on writing the blog so I am sorry for that!
But to be honest we have not had that cool of lives lately.
Otto is back in school and I am seeing him less and less which makes me sad.
I am only ok with this because I know there is an end in sight...
I am still at the gym.
But I did go to Boston at the begining of Oct.
Well I say Boston but really a town called Worcester.
Which is pronounced nothing like it sounds!
I went for my Certified Pediatric Massage Licences.
It was a fun adventure one I wish Otto could have came on
but his classes wouldnt let him fit it in!
I will say Northerns are much more blunt and to the point then us southerners
I was trying to blend in but ended up sticking out like a sore thumb,
all because I said hello to the bus driver, then told him to have a nice day.
It was fun I took public transportation to get form place to place.
Wow I loved it made everything so easy and so cheap.
But those dang taxi driver are blood sucking vampires, incase you were wondering!
I was very glad to be back and I am very excited for the beinging
year hopefully I will be working less and less and the
gym and more with the kids!
So that is us in nut shell nothing to exciting but we are loving life and each other!

No not a Yedi but a Neti.....

so have you ever seen these?

If you don't know what theses are you were just like me until earlier this morning. Last night, I went out for a night on the town! (or just hanging out with my sister in law buying clothes for my niece. ) But we did ride with the windows rolled down and the music up high. I came home, realizing that ummm yep I still have allergies! GO me! Here in Arkansas it is death by pollen season. I should take pictures. Everything is yellow. So I woke up many times in the night due to stuffiness. Then this morning woke up to a sore throat and major stuffiness. Went on to see one of my clients, of course warning her that I sound like Darth Vader's sister. But i sounded much worse than I felt. (which was a lie) When i got there she kept on saying have you tried this, have you tried that. i am thinking to myself dang I must sound pretty bad. Then she ask the question... Have you ever used a Neti Pot? I said no I have never even heard of it. She said her son loves it and she had a friend over that said she used it everyday! Well i was desperate!!! So I went to whole foods and got one. Came home thinking it was going to solve everything including world peace. i take it out of the box and think to myself what was i thinking they want me to do what with this thing? Lets just say after about 20 mins if trying I am ready to take it back. Then Otto comes in and gets it to works the first time. Then continues to rave about how good it feels and how well he can breath and that he has not felt that clear in a really long time. go figure. Its been a week now since we have gotten our little neti pot and i have kinda have gotten it to work right. Otto still loves it! So that is just my luck. But as long as Otto feels better it was money well spent. Actually the littlebit i have gotten it to work for me it does really help.

Where has the time gone?

*** late post due to computer issues for the past few weeks***
So its been a year and a couple of weeks now since Otto and I got hitched! So much has happened this past year and we have loved almost every minute of it. wink. wink. We had a super anniversary. Otto planned a wonderful night. He made us a steak dinner. Then he surprised me with a scavenger hunt around the property with memories of this past year and flowers at each place. I KNOW! I am a lucky girl. Then he had a little fire set up outside and we just hung out underneath the stars and just talked. It was a perfect night! I love my husband so much. I know so many people have asked our first year has gone and it really has gone really good. I have heard some horror stories of peoples first couple years of marriage. I laugh because i have had people ask me... how are you guys doing? I will say we are doing great. Then they reply with really, you can tell me the truth. I know how hard it is! So i honestly am so grateful for my husband and what a wonderful year we have had. I cant imagine my life with out Otto in it. We finished our anniversary with a trip down to Dallas. We got a super nice hotel room for dirt cheap. Which we love a good deal. So Friday night we went to the temple and did a session. It was fun to be in the temple and think about a year ago when we were there with our families. So we went from the temple to go play downtown. but it was COLD COLD COLD so it made us change our plans so we went out to eat then just headed back to the hotel. The next morning we went to the farmers market and then off to IKEA. Ok I have to say that I heart IKEA. Otto even enjoyed himself. So to say the least we have had an awesome first year and an amazing anniversary! I cant wait for the years to come.
Otto I love you.
pictures to come... i have misplaced my camera for the moment

A bunch of nothing....

So what have we been up to you might be asking?
I mean it has been a month since I have posted. For that I am sorry, but this past month has been just the same ol' same ol'. Work, School, and homework for Otto. Work, Watching Kylie, and Primary for me. We are excited for our coming up anniversary. This time last year Otto was tying up loose ends at work and finishing test at school. I was on my way to Nauvoo with my family. WOW time really does fly.
Quote for one of my sumbeams this past Sunday:
She was trying to pass off her first Article of Faith as she recited it like this:
We believe in God the Eternal Father and in his on Jesus Christ.... AMEN
I do love being in primary!

i {heart} u

We had a really awesome weekend. It started Thursday night with a GNO which we went and watched -He's not that into you- OK funny funny movie. It was fun to hang out with the girls, Otto was glad that i had them to go with so i did not drag him to go see it!

Friday night was a ward activity night. It was a 50's theme. It was fun to get ready for and to see how far Otto lets me fuss over him. By the way.... not very much. So we went and had a fun time visiting and hanging out.
So then Saturday morning, I decided to get creative and make Otto some fun Valentine pancakes... as you see the first time was a bust.I burnt them! Which I kinda ruined me surprising him, but we got a really good laugh out of my goof!

these are the burnt ones that stuck to the cookie cutters!

attempt two yeah for pam cooking spray!

ta-da i even topped them with strawberry syrup!

Otto said they were pretty yummy! It was a fun morning for us just goofing off and hanging out. We went over to his parents for a little bit and had lunch which was fun! Went to the store for a few things we needed for dinner and Otto cooked up some steaks and grilled some veggies and it was so yummy! Sorry there is not a picture of dinner we were outside and well we were to hungry to come up to get it. So we ate dinner outside, Otto started a fire and we just chilled by the fire and star gazed and talked! It was perfect!!! After we were nice and cold we came in played a game of skip-bo,watched the movie -Fools Gold-, and then ate some Cheesecake!

I found these cute little spring form pans at Target and well I have never made Cheesecake before so i thought this would be the perfect time to try! Well if I say so myself it was pretty yummy! Otto was pretty impressed. So if I say so myself it was perfect! i love you Otto!
