3 months down & Eternity to go....

Otto and I just had our 3 month anniversary. As he wished me a Happy Anniversary. We started talking about our sealing, and our reception and our honeymoon. I can honestly say I don't think I would have changed a thing. It was everything we could ever imagine and more. A lot of girls grow up dreaming of this time. Well I was not one of those girls. I do know for sure that I could have ever imagined anything close to what we had. EVERYTHING was perfect. Nauvoo was beautiful, took my breath away. I love that we have just one more temple that has some personal connection to. Otto was the one that picked out the temple... and Kudos to him. I feel so lucky to have such a great guy! I feel so blessed that we did not have a reception right after getting married, it made us focus on just the sealing and how special that was instead of being worried about what we had to do next. We had a little over a week between the wedding and the reception. That is the week that we decided to go on our honeymoon...(it was also Otto's Spring Break so that helped us make the final decision.) Our Honeymoon was amazing. I just can not say enough about how perfect everything was. Otto's boss has a condo on Pawleys Island in South Carolina, that he let us use! WOW this place was amazing! Pawleys Island is about 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach so its close enough that we could go to Hard Rock, Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, putt putt golf -- which was awesome it went up like 3 or 4 stories and when you got to the top you had an amazing view of the ocean -- not good for my putt putt skills but was worth getting distracted. I just have to say the Pawleys Island really is like a little piece of Heaven! It was so amazing we had our own personal pier and beach front condo. It was like the beach was just ours, unlike Myrtle Beach that was packed and crawling with teenagers! I think one of my favorite things we did was most every morning we got up to watch the sunrise. Umm... speechless is the word. Otto and I never imagined that we could ever do anything close to this for a honeymoon. WE LOVE LOVE LOVE JON! That was his present to us and it was priceless. We had such a fun time besides the fact that the first 3 or 4 days I was sick my throat was so swollen and sore that I was not able to enjoy the food but Otto enjoyed it to the fullest! We ate at this cute outdoor restaurant called Louis's at Pawleys yum yum yum seafood. It was surrounded by all these little shops, that i grew to love a lot. I do think one of our most favorites things was Brookgreen gardens, it was hundred and hundreds of acres of flowers and sculptures, we wish we would have gone at the beginning of the week instead of the end so we could have gotten to see everything. Otto was very much in love with Pawleys as am I. This was Otto's first time to go to the ocean, he did everything from flying a kite to saving a jellyfish -- crazy boy! So we left Pawleys as sad as we were for the long ride home, actually it was a longer ride from Nauvoo to Pawleys 18 hours! -- what were we thinking to drive 18 hours straight-- but it was worth it! The way home only took 12 hours which was cake! We got home on Thursday Night so we would have Friday to chill before our reception on Saturday. So we thought we could chill and relax. Only problem about living where your boss lives, he knows when you are home. He had things for Otto to do. So it was back to reality a little faster than we would have liked, but we survived! So Saturday was our reception and let me tell you, I love my mom. She is amazing. Our reception was gorgeous! I loved where we had it, it had the atmosphere that we were hoping for. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I know Otto and I had a blast. We did not have a down moment, our DJ did a good job at keeping us on task. Which is what we needed. I loved my cake and my flowers and sharing this all with so many friends and family members. This really was everything I could ever imagine, I know I keep saying this but there is not one thing I would change about our wedding, honeymoon, & our reception. I got everything even my sparklers! I want to let my parents know how much I love them and I know all the hard work my mom did, to make sure that everything was perfect. Mom you did awesome! Dad thanks for being so supportive, laid back, and not getting the pigs in the blankets. I am so happy, I have had my dream wedding, and I have married my very best friend. Now, we have 3 months down & eternity to go...........♥

Hey there!! What a great way to start a marriage. So fun! How do you like teaching infant massage? That really sounds like something you'd be good at.

Oh and say hi to your family for me! Are they in that same neighborhood where you all used to live near my dad?
